Intro
The sun comes up on the wide golden plain,
Something BIG is coming — can you hear it again?
Thump... thump... thump...
Chorus
Elephant, elephant, big and grey!
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the elephant way!
Swing your trunk and flap your ears —
PAAA-RAAA! Everybody cheers!
Verse 1
Toti's ears go up — he hears them too!
Two big elephants, and a little one too,
Holding Mamma's tail the way that babies do —
Bigger than the log, and bigger than you!
Verse 2
The big ears flap — FLAP, FLAP, FLAP!
Toti tries it — flap your ears like that!
His ears are long but they will not flap,
So he flaps his ARMS instead — clap, clap, clap!
Chorus
Elephant, elephant, big and grey!
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the elephant way!
Swing your trunk and flap your ears —
PAAA-RAAA! Everybody cheers!
Elephant Band
Lift up your trunks — it's the elephant band!
The big one plays PAAA-RAAA, low and grand!
The next one plays paa-raa, softer and small,
And the baby goes... PEEP! That's all!
Verse 3
The baby lets go of the tail and runs — oh no, a trip!
Down in the soft grass with a tumble and a flip!
Everybody laughs — and the baby laughs too,
Then does it all AGAIN, just for you!
Verse 4
Down at the waterhole the trunks go SLURP —
A big deep breath... now wait for it...
WHOOOOSH! A cool shower over everyone —
Soaking wet and laughing in the sun!
Chorus
Elephant, elephant, big and grey!
Stomp, stomp, stomp, the elephant way!
Swing your trunk and flap your ears —
PAAA-RAAA! Everybody cheers!
Outro
Hello, elephant! Hello, little one!
Climb aboard — we'll stomp into the sun!
