Månsken över slätten, och något smyger förbi högst upp på kullen. Toti utmanar till kapplöpning, Gambo pratar fortfarande, skallran säger GO! — och leoparden är redan långt borta. Mimi svävar ner och pussar den lilla ungen och blir prickig över hela kroppen; Toti och Gambo pussar också, och ingenting händer alls.
Refrängen är delen att leka: vart tog leoparden vägen? Den var ju här alldeles nyss. Toti tränar inför en returmatch, springer och springer och ropar ”Jag vann!”, och hittar leoparden redan där, djupt sovande. Det slutar stilla, med två prickiga skepnader hoprullade på stenen och ett godnatt till gräset och månen.
