The fifth letter song. Nibs finds an egg that looks a lot like Nibs, only not as tall; Poff meets an elephant whose trunk goes SPLASH; Gambo bites into an eggplant, which is not lunch; Mimi floats up with an eagle; and Toti wiggles two tall ears until the elephant flaps back.
The letter-sound section teaches the short sound — “E says eh, eh, eh! Flap your elbows and say it!” — which egg, elephant and eggplant all have. Eagle and ear are sung with the long one, ee, the letter’s own name, so like the airplane in Amazing A they show that a letter can say more than one thing.
