Intro
Hey! Leaves are falling - come outside!
Verse 1
Orange and yellow, the leaves come down,
Windy little whirls all over the town!
Hat on Toti, scarf on Poff,
Zip your jacket - don't take it off!
Boots for the puddles - splish and splosh! (Splish and splosh!)
Gambo jumps in - oh my gosh! (Oh my gosh!)
Chorus
Hat on your head! (Hat on your head!)
Scarf on you! (Scarf on you!)
Rub-a-rub your hands - that's what we do!
Achoo! (Achoo!) In your elbow - achoo!
Wipe your little nose - good as new!
Squeeze yourself cosy, warm right through -
Up! Up! Up! We're feeling better - WHOO!
Verse 2
Home again, home again, in we go,
Wet little boots all in a row!
Lilly turns the water on, warm and slow,
Soapy bubbly hands - watch them grow!
Everybody scrubbing - one, two, three! (One, two, three!)
But Toti bounced away. Toti didn't see!
Chorus
Hat on your head! (Hat on your head!)
Scarf on you! (Scarf on you!)
Rub-a-rub your hands - that's what we do!
Achoo! (Achoo!) In your elbow - achoo!
Wipe your little nose - good as new!
Squeeze yourself cosy, warm right through -
Up! Up! Up! We're feeling better - WHOO!
Soft and quiet, just electric piano and brushes.
Verse 3
Next day Toti went AH - AH - CHOO!
Sniffly, snuffly, sleepy too.
Mimi turned a worried little grey,
"Poor Toti," said Lilly. "Rest today!"
Still soft. Horns and tambourine come back on the last line.
Verse 4
Blanket up to Toti's chin,
Warm little drink to sip it in!
Tissue for your nose - then throw it away,
Elbow for your sneeze - that's the way!
Wash your hands so the sniffles can't spread,
Sleepy little Toti, off to bed!
Chorus
Hat on your head! (Hat on your head!)
Scarf on you! (Scarf on you!)
Rub-a-rub your hands - that's what we do!
Achoo! (Achoo!) In your elbow - achoo!
Wipe your little nose - good as new!
Squeeze yourself cosy, warm right through -
Up! Up! Up! We're feeling better - WHOO!
Outro
Toti's better! (Hip hooray!)
Mimi's bright again today! (Hip hooray!)
Wash your hands and off you go -
Achoo! Achoo! We love you so!

The newest song, published on 3 September 2026, and the first to let something go wrong and stay wrong for a while. The first half is the cheerful part — hats, scarves, boots in the puddles, then everybody washing their hands at the sink. Everybody except Toti, who bounces off before the soap.
So the next day Toti has a cold, and the song goes quiet for two verses rather than hurrying past it: a blanket, a warm drink, a tissue, sneezing into an elbow, and Lilly saying rest today. Mimi turns worried grey and only turns bright again in the outro, when Toti is better. The habits are all in the chorus, which is where a child will actually meet them.
