A calm song about going to the doctor, sung to the child watching. The chorus says it plainly: “The doctor's kind, the doctor cares,” and the doctor helps you feel better. In between, the song asks children to join in: put a hand on their chest and feel their own heartbeat, breathe in as if smelling a flower, breathe out as if cooling some soup, and open wide for a big “aaah.”
In the video, Toti tosses and turns all night and ends up with a thermometer, so Lilly and Gambo go along to the doctor. The doctor warms the stethoscope before listening, everyone breathes in and puffs up big together, and Gambo helpfully holds out a flower to smell and then a bowl of soup to blow on. Gambo chatters non-stop until it is time to say “aaah,” and Lilly smooths a little plaster with a heart onto Toti's arm. Back home in the sunshine, Toti is bouncing on the doorstep, as good as new.
