Intro
Five yummy fruits,
What are their names?
Look, look, look —
Let’s play the fruit game!
Verse 1 — Apple
Apple, apple, apple!
Red and round — an apple!
Cut it in half,
Crunch, crunch, crunch!
Apple! Apple!
Yummy for lunch!
Verse 2 — Orange
Orange, orange, orange!
Juicy orange round!
Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze it,
Juice comes pouring down!
Fill up the glass,
Sip, sip, sip!
Orange! Orange!
Take a little sip!
Verse 3 — Strawberry
Strawberry, strawberry!
Little, red and sweet!
Take off the green top,
Now it’s time to eat!
One for me,
And one for you!
Strawberry! Strawberry!
Yummy, yummy too!
Verse 4 — Melon
Melon, melon, melon!
Big and round and sweet!
Cut it open,
What’s inside?
A juicy fruity treat!
Scoop, scoop, scoop,
One, two, three!
Melon! Melon!
One for you and me!
Verse 5 — Banana
Banana, banana!
Yellow, long and bright!
Peel it down,
Slice it round —
One delicious bite!
Slice, slice, slice,
Look what we’ve done!
Banana! Banana!
Fruit is so much fun!
Final Chorus
Apple! 🍎
Orange! 🍊
Strawberry! 🍓
Melon! 🍈
Banana! 🍌
Five yummy fruits —
Now we know their names!
Apple, orange, strawberry,

A naming song with one fruit to a verse, and something to do with each one: the apple is cut in half and crunched, the orange squeezed into a glass, the strawberry has its green top pulled off, the melon is opened and scooped, and the banana is peeled and sliced. In the video Lilly does the work, and Toti keeps reaching in for a taste.
The last chorus calls the five out one after another, so by the end a child has heard each name many times over and can shout them back — apple, orange, strawberry, melon, banana, yay.
