The first bedtime song, and the only one that gets slower rather than faster. The verses widen outward — the four of them in bed, then the burrow and the nest, then fireflies and a boat on the water — so the last thing a child pictures is somewhere quiet and far away.
The chorus repeats four times with no variation at all, which is deliberate. Every other song in the catalogue builds; this one is trying to end.
